Case Studies: Using Healthcare Claims and Utilization Data to Support Decision-Making
June 4, 2013 2-3 PM ET
As the healthcare industry continues to evolve, businesses need additional sources of data to support decisions related to medical and dental utilization, network and benefit design, access to care, pricing, and client retention. Innovative uses of healthcare data can promote unique views of emerging needs and trends that have critical strategic and operational implications.

Engaging Employees to Become Smart Users of Medical and Dental Benefits
September 17, 2013: 2-3 PM ET
Healthcare benefits are among the highest-cost benefits offered by employers. But how employees use those benefits can impact employer costs – for self-insured plans and insured plans alike. High-deductible health plans provide incentives for employees to take responsibility for their healthcare spending, but often plan participants lack the tools to make informed decisions. TPAs, unions, employers and plan sponsors of dental, high-deductible and traditional health plans can take advantage of web services to integrate best practices, including data, cost estimation tools and educational resources from multiple sources, into their member portals to facilitate decision-making.

State Workers’ Compensation Programs: Using Data to Create a Win/Win Environment for All Stakeholders
November 5, 2013: 2-3 PM ET
Without a source of objective and reasonable reimbursement data, workers’ compensation programs can be fraught with disputes resulting in wasted time and resources in mediations, arbitrations, and other legal challenges. Whether or not a state has adopted a workers’ compensation fee schedule, fair reimbursement guidelines can help to reduce legal static and facilitate sound dispute resolution, resulting in cost efficiencies and satisfied stakeholders.
